Dunno, I just thought some of the vocal melodies on the "softer" songs on the Messiah album were sort of S&G-like.beerandjesus wrote: Not sure I hear Simon & Garfunkel in Messiah myself, but I'll have to listen to it again to be sure! It's definitely a weird record.

Valkylie - Lamia Shock! demotape
LIZER - 2nd demotape (featuring a pre AION SAB)
Mephistopheles - Metal on Metal
and of course, Mein Kampf's Speeder EP. I just saw these guys' reunion gig 2 days ago and it was fucking amazing!! i got my 7" signed and shit. sure it wasnt the complete band. but the feeling i got when i heard my favorite guitar solo ever live was unreal. of course i'm talking about the harmonized part in Speeder. After the gig we went to a rock bar to drink and talk about metal. it was a great experience. there were some mid 30's metal chicks there that kept asking me about my favorite bands. whenever i'd answer they'd reply(in japanese) "oh you're maniac! no one in Japan remembers those bands!" haha.

Oh no! Give me the same-titled Cliff Pilchard song any day. I like the bit in the "Rock the Night" vidayo where Joey sang into a bottle of ketchup tho'.DaN wrote:Noooooooo!! "Carrie" by you-know-who on the radio at work
NP: Magnum, On a Storyteller's Night. I'm not so keen on the more radio-friendly songs, but tracks like the title song & "How Far Jerusalem" are hard to beat.
