On a side note, I've always loved that sleeve.
Please no insultings etc.
I can understand that you're feeling pissed off, but keep in mind that Strappado's blog is delivering some great metal recordings, no matter who did upload them.
There is a thread about this here already. Nobody agrees with this guys practices and all of his "uploads" are ripped off from other places. None of them gave credit to the original ripper/uploader previously until he came here and we all bashed him for it.
1-2 years ago this was barely a $100 record. Last few copies have been up in the $150 range. Copies are turning up pretty regularly (at least 1 every few months). Any reason that this one has jumped in price lately?

Pesronally, i think many more mid rarities from say 10 years ago,are now going for Peanuts!!! Just saw a Trouble debut (white vinyl & insert) go for 37$ & other 100$ records that barely reach 30-40$ anymore, even with the correct listing & keywords. I think the thrash/Death metal wave is now much more prominent in the higher price league.
167 dollars for what looks like a new print/bootleg of a 1991 demotape!?!
there are many demos released in that fashion? and not all need to be yellowed & torn apart beyond belief....this isn't too old either.
i don't know anything about this demo but it can be the real deal too.
That seller only sells original tapes. Before ebay he used to have a private sale list filled with extreme metal. No comment about the price, but the tape is definately original.

You might be right. I don't know the seller at all. I just have a hard time trusting demotapes on ebay + I've seen some bootleg copies of it before. I have the second version of this tape, that was given a red/orange-ish cover, and I have no doubts about that one being original. This one just look too 'fresh' if you know what I mean. But nyeah it could be a well-kept origina I guess. The price, however, is still quite high for this tape, being an original or not. Usually I've seen it sell for 40-50 dollars tops. Would be a nice addition to the collection though.
mal- the white vinyl Trouble has never been that expensive TMK; I've rarely seen it sell for more than $30-40. You may be right, however, that death/thrash is getting more attention from collectors now than the trad metal stuff. Metal fans & collectors do follow trends (though they don't like to admit it). Currently death metal vinyl is hot, NWOBHM is not. Next spring, orange will be the new pink and pastels will be on the outs
Kristian- I know how you feel; things on my want list go up in price, things I own go down! Solution- trade everything I own for everything I don't own!

Exactly! I just need to get all family matters sorted out before I start collecting (i.e. trading) again.
Never attribute to malice, that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
