Yes there are, but they don't want to tell :) (I'm not one of them).

FAR EAST ''ripper slasher'' 7''

One of the things I would like to know are:

1) Whether they had any demo recordings
2) Place of origin
3) Why is so rare? They had the same label with ALIAS MANGLER as far as I know..
4) Is there a possibility for somebody to share these 2 songs? I have listened other great singles (e.g. AMAARANTH, VIKRON, WARHEAD, RELLIK...) but not this one...how good is the music

2) Place of origin NC, USA

3) Why is so rare? They had the same label with ALIAS MANGLER as far as I know.. This was not really a label, There was a "Battle of the Bands" every few months and the winner got to record at BMC/BME and release a record, 500 copies. Most bands that won and did 45's (Works, Zebroid, Theatrics, Tora Orphan, Far East........) just gave them out to friends or folks who came to the next battle, These where never for sale in a store or a show they were only given away for free. As for the LP's (Alias Manger, Token, Sprears, Driven.............)the bands tried to sell these at local shops and when they were found/tracked down they still had most of them in the Garage. As only a small Qty of 45 weer found back in the 90's at BME. No band members in any of the bands have had more then a personal copy

4) Is there a possibility for somebody to share these 2 songs? I have listened other great singles (e.g. AMAARANTH, VIKRON, WARHEAD, RELLIK...) but not this one...how good is the music. It's good, I would say much better then any of those. I've been in talks with all mebers regarding a re-issue, Maybe someday that will happen

We all have; they've been on my radar for 11 years :( Heck, I used to live about 15 minutes from the BME site and I never found anything on the band.

You forgot to mention, that in the 90's sometime at least one band member threw in the trash all their unsold copies when they moved.

To date I believe there are 6-7 known copies that exist outside of band member private copies.

This is true,

Ive been tring to forget that ever since they told me.

But there might be more like 4-5 copies, as I can only think of 4 off hand, The same with Tora Orphan & Theatrics just no Picture sleeves so not as rememberable, The others there is 15-20

Does that means that you have plans to reactivate OPM Records?

The rumor I heard online says yes, OPM will release this as a Super limited edition deluxe Die Hard Fan Club Only release, pressed on 180g gold vinyl containing all their demo recordings and complete with patch, poster, sticker, button, a fully autographed copy of the original single's sleeve, fliers from every show the band ever did, a 6-inch strip of the original master tape, a locke of the drummer's hair, and a DVD documentary including footage of every performance, rehearsal, demo session, and the studio sessions used to produce the original single, not to mention a 128-page booklet featuring every photograph ever taken of the band plus interviews with every member, their immediate family, their music teachers, and every band they ever shared a stage with. These copies will be hand-numbered in both Arabic and Roman numerals, inked by blind tibetan monks using the blood of Ronnie James Dio. Strictly limited to an edition of 2 copies; one will immediately be destroyed and the other will be placed at the top of a 30-foot greased poll in the middle of next year's KIT Festival and whoever gets it will be obligated to immediately list it on ebay with a starting bid of $5, no reserve, ships free anywhere on planet earth or neighboring astral bodies- may the best man win! :)

Of course that's just the rumor going 'round... :)
