Fair enough. I'll keep my eyes open for those titles. It would be cool to have "The Rules.." back in the collection again. Got a longer wantlist?

Clones we've learned to love...

What are your favourite 'clone'-bands / albums? I'm talking about that act that should have written the latest IRON MAIDEN-album, those obscure thrash demos that were right up there with the finest SLAYER-moments, that long-forgotten album who sounded more MOTÖRHEAD than the 'Heads themselves etc......

Welcome to the board, Ernst.

Would you be interested in an original of the SOLITUDE AETURNUS - "And Justice For All" demo tape?

BLACK HOLE cannot be overrated. Instead of raving about them for the umpteenth time I'll just point you in the direction of my review . Be sure to seek out the "Beyond the gravestone" demo '84 as well. 90 minutes of the greatest Doooooooohhhhmmm ever made by man. A criminally overlooked ol...

All studio recordings on this MLP are available on old compilations with better sound, and the live songs aren't that special. If you just wanna pick it up for the collection, search out the first pressing w/ a generic black sleeve and yellow inserts instead of the prof. printed cover.

Sorry, got no titles for you. Their page at Metal Archives mentiones some songtitles from a demo and live video, so perhaps you can patch something together from there. Is it the same show as on this page: http://occitan-oldschoolmetalhead.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_occitan-oldschoolmetalhead_archive.h...

I second your opinion of the CROWLEY 8" and UNITED (at least the debut EP), Peter. Some of the finest asian metal ever recorded. I got the second demo by epic metal gods BRAVE BOMBER a while back. It's possibly the best 90's 'Manowarian' Metal I've heard. Someone mail me their first demo please...

Total Japanese Insanity!!! Dark, twisted and weird - just the way I love it, even if I sensed some off-center BIG BLACK/MELVINS influences there as well. MUST - HAVE - BELLZLLEB!!!

I´m a bit behind on plenty of old Jpn Metal myself. A lot of what I´ve heard is way too slick and/or melodic (in a commercial way) and there seem to be a lack of really good, heavy, Power/HM stuff from this country. I still haven't gotten over the disappointment of that CROWLEY LP. The best full-len...

The show at KIT a few years ago was great. Had a blast, but for some reason I never became a total fan of the "Don't Metal With Evil" album. I heard a tad too much American HR mixed into their Metal and very few of the songs stuck in my head. I still have to check out the later stuff, so I...
