Well, for the moment I would very much like to hear the first tape by Malaysian band CROMOK. I have a couple of songs in instrumental versions on an impossibly rare radio promo that sound great, but I feel I can't write a review of it until I hear the original versions as well. Hilfe! Hearing the fu...

I totally agree w/ Keir. See my CRACKED MIRROR- review for reference. There's definitely a lot of crap shoehorned into the label, as well as great stuff that should be able stand on its own merits as just bloody killer, mid-80's European Metal. But NWOBHM overrated? You lost me there, Mr Åmål (altho...

Well, those kind of songtitles could actually surprise you in the early 80's and the cover art looks totally Metal, so I'm crossing my fingers... These look pretty interesting as well: DELUGE FIREBIRD FOUNDED TEMPEST TORNADO WARNING Someone at Miskatonic claimed there were about 100 bands/releases n...

Unknown NWOBHM-singles?
...the definition of 'unknown' being not mentioned in Malc's encyclopedia. Who here has recordings/titles/pix/originals of NWOBHM-ep's so bloody rare they don't seem to be mentioned anywhere? Just by chance I came upon a second AXIS (3rd if you count the demo act) at Metal Archives that looks awesom...

I don't know much about their DM scene, but I do think they had one of the weakest 80's Metal scenes, at least as far as good ol' decent songwriting goes. I recently picked up the EVO debut LP and that one was a nice surprise, but more often than not I'm disappointed with Spaniard Steel. It's weird ...

It's mentioned on Metal Archives: http://metal-archives.com/release.php?id=82647
...but until someone comes up w/ a picture I guess that proves nothing. It could just be some old demo.
