Re: The Heavy Metal Mania - The German HR/HM guide
A "primitive" band imo can't play such guitar solos. Very solid underground stuff.  Dude, this isn't the ''Godawful Metal'' thread  Probably the worst thing I heard in ages. But then, I listen these days only to the finest new releases, so maybe my perspective is off. :...

Re: The Heavy Metal Mania - The German HR/HM guide
Great work Prowler, thanks! Finally everyone can have a taste of that mouldy atmosphere of german metal underground
(Gotta love those ancient photos!) Gonna grab the compilations and see what prog metal gems you omitted

Re: RAVENSIRE (Port) - New album for this autumn on EAT METAL :
So rationalizing that too makes nothing left to be described as a "fad". The nostalgia factor, tapes have build up the whole metal scene in the 80's and later in secondary markets like Greece, Poland etc. Cds and vinyl are just the same today, 90% of people just do not buy physical format...

Re: RAVENSIRE (Port) - New album for this autumn on EAT METAL :
Which cause do they really serve? Do they have better sound? Are they practical? Are they much cheaper? It's a great big conspiracy to release the demons that live inside CD's. :D Sorry, you as a CD slave have absolutely no say on this matter. None is ''cashing in'' on such band approved, li...

Fantastic track! Album of the year. Instead of the flexi I would welcome a 7'' vinyl but it's ok, bought.alien laserblast wrote:New tune: http://youtu.be/YPIOa-FPniA

Re: RAVENSIRE (Port) - New album for this autumn on EAT METAL :
Seriously?? It's frustrating to see labels coming out of nowhere and pressing tapes of already acknowledged albums instead of helping bands release new stuff; 'cause some of the new Ravensire material is -as expected- great and deserves label support. Enough fooling around with tape releases and ot...

Thx! Nothing halfway exciting I fear, even if judged as mainstream rock. Archeologists fodder

Roy Last Group - Rocks / Goodtimes Ahead (81/83)
Requested by bigfootkit First 2 albums, not that good or memorable hard rock with few small highlights and some metallic edge, the guitarist later played with Velvet Viper. Not metal related fact: His uncle was the hugely/terribly popular James Last, he must have sold dozens of millions of albums wi...

Re: Requests
I digitized both LP's few years back, have to connect one or two old harddrives to check if the stuff is still there.bigfootkit wrote:I was wondering if someone could share either of the Roy Last Group albums, 'Rocks' (1981) or 'Goodtimes Ahead (1983)' ?
Many thanks in advance.

The Prowler LP'S wasn't manufactured by GZ Media, but in Germany! OK, so which one did the pressing? I know that Pallas is getting new presses aswell, haven't heard anything about Optimal, they still were hanging on old, rebuilt presses. But new presses will evetually lead to shorter product...

It seems odd that it came back from the pressing plant earlier than expected! Don't hear that very often. Great news. I quote from GZ Media: PIRATES PRESS AND GZ MEDIA UNVEIL BRAND NEW VINYL PRESS CUSTOMERS TO EXPERIENCE QUICKER TURNAROUND TIMES MORE PRESSES TO COME IN 2015 AND BEYOND Hurray! 8)

Re: NO MORE MISTER POSTMAN!!! (horror stories thread)
Listen up guys! Give your postman enough tip, food and/or drinks. He WILL take good care of all your stuff! Sure, good idea if it goes for the postman/woman. The DHL/Hermes dudes are changing every second week, so it would be pointless. The postal gal here once drove with her bike over some bump on...
