Sacrilegio was an obscure Death Metal band from Peru. Formed as Cancerbero in 1989 with Hugo Castillo on guitars and vocals, Michel Montalvan on guitars and Ramiro Ascorra on bass. They changed the name to Sacrilegio in 1990 with Leonardo Velasquez replacing Ramiro on bass and Michael now playing drums. The same year they recorded two songs "Fuerzas Siniestras" and "Imperio del Terror" with Leonardo on second guitar and a new bass player called Pepe M. In 1990/1991 they played a few shows at the No Helden bar with bands like Inextremis, Trauma, Sepelio, Mortuorio etc. Oscar Fuertes replaced Michael on drums and later David Akira until the band change the name to Ritual.
