Jerusalem - a classic Heavy Metal band from the 80s. Formed in 1986 as Astaroth with Rafael MacKee on guitars, Rafo Valdizán on bass, Andres Carretero on drums and Miguel Angel “Loco” Cervantes on vocals. Miguel Angel was then called to form a part of Almas Inmortales (and later went to Masacre) and the band split up. Rafael Valdizan and Rafo MacKee formed a new band with Julio ''Ñaca''Almeida on drums called Viernes Santo that never materialized.

In december 1986 they found Marco Kuong on vocals and by 1987 they stablished Jerusalem with Ñaca, Rafo Valdizan and Rafael MacKee. Their influences were Black Sabbath, Mercyful Fate and Fates Warning. Almost immediately the theme of the No Helden contest came up and that is how they debuted in June of '87. In the contest, they reached the semifinal. After that they played a concert at the Real Club de San Isidro that same year, with Orgus and Almas Inmortales. After that Ñaca started playing in Mazo and Rafael MacKee played with other people (later in Sacra and Masacre). In 1988 Andres Carratero return on drums and Oscar Verti on guitars, playing at Holocausto Metal in Campo de Marte (July 1988) and recorded a rehearsal that same year, until 1990 when the band split up.
