This one just might be It: Thee most rare 80's HM/HR compilation ever! ...not released, since this is another one of those devilish test-pressing-only entities. Technically on par with the similar Europe's Best Metal megararity, but because of the NWOBHM-connection I think this one still tops the list. First mention of this obscurity was on a Cardiff Music History fb page in 2020 and it was shortly after shared on YT, but it wasn't until 2024 that this was mentioned on the Corroseum (creds to bigfootkit!) and other forums and the HM collector fringe finally caught up. One important caveat: I have some honest doubts that the "release"/recording year of 1982 is correct. This sounds nothing like ANY other UK comps from the 1981-83 era and my expert guess would instead be 1985-86, but I'll leave it like found until we can confirm otherwise.. |

Indeed the same band who released the "Bad Girls" 7" in 1984, this great opener tops that single and surprises with some absolutely Steelclad, gallop'y, Satan-style bridge-parts intermingled with the otherwise solid but basic pounding Rockmetal. Mega-ballsy, shades-wearin', Motörhead luwin' Hard RAWK yeh olde NWOBHM-way but MORE because More is more..
Mega-wimpy, pastel-shirts-wearing, mid-80's soft-pop.
Unfortunately not as Heavy as we hoped for, this falls somewhere between melodic 70's HR, pomp rock and US fm rock.- CHARTERED HURRICANE - A Funny Way Of Showing You Love Me
A very Thin Lizzy-influenced, catchy Hard Rock/olde NWOBHM number full of sweet guitar and vocal harmonies.

The Lizzy-flavours are still there, but this would be the meaner, more Evil of their 2 efforts (because "..666"!). A bloody cool NWOBHM mid-pace punch. - VIGILANTE - Victim Of Circumstance
The most orthodox 1980-81 style NWOBHM offering so far. A great, rocking, guitar frenzy headbanger with a youthful Bleak House/Deep Machine/Sparta-flavoured chorus.
Great, groovy, and by 80's standards I think we can even call it 'retro' 70's hard rock a la... Aerosmith?
Instrumental, heavy-on-the-keyboard, Hard prog/symphonic rock.
Power ballad, but thankfully more of the 70's than 80's brand. This and their first track here was later featured on their 2021 retrospect "Bad Girls" compilaton CD.
