ALAMANA'S BRIDGE - Sta Salona Sfazoune Frikia The camelback intro and solo guitars screeam Hard Rock but otherwise this one-riff composition if firmy rooted in post-punk soil.
ALAMANA'S BRIDGE - Sweet Waters Gay Even when adding some "Symptom Of The Universe"-riff-off'ing it still belongs among the postpunkers imo.
FOXES - Fast And Loud The coolest kids in school who'd just maybe give you a dub of those Sweet Savage and Iron Maiden EPs, but not before the mandatory wedgie & toilet babtism...
FOXES - Damned Brain The NWOBHM-worship continues with a Hollow Ground/Cloven Hoof-type steamroller, once again with some very Maiden'y harmonies and breaks in the middle. Guitarists Elias Longinides later went to Spitfire and Tony Contaxakis to Douglas.
KAKTOS - Zero Line 70's rock with piano.
Tracklist side B:
DALTONS - Shout Out Mellow 70's HR with zero NWOHM-appeal.
DALTONS -Rollin' On The Sidewalk Hard'ish boogie rocker a la Status Quo.
KAKTOS - Promises Bluesy 70's rock.
AEOLOS - Man In Chains Unlike their more 70's rock-inclined offerings on the contemporary "Happening '82" comp, this is almost as heavy and up-to-date as their Foxes-comrades, though the groove & wailing vocals remind me more of early Heavy Load than any particular UK act.
AEOLOS - Uncertain Future "Hey guys, I came up with this really neat ska-beat that'd be great for that new number!" Youthful missteps aside, their still stumbling about in Hard Rock territory.
