Deceived Children
Never More
Released on small and highly collectible local North Carolina inprint BME Records And Tapes, THEATRICS offer us a nice slice of early US Heavy Metal. These youngsters used some keyboards on both songs here and there but believe me, this is a pure Heavy Metal record. "Decieved Children" is real winner. Pounding drums, great axe (solo) work by John (he's a quite famous records producer right now) and quite harsh vocals (think of Jesse Odom from STREET CHILD) makes this single worth getting for this song alone. "Never More" is a bit of a different game and I would call it a semi ballad, with bigger portion of keys. But it's still a more than decent song. As far as rarity goes... I've never seen this 7" for sale and it's as rare as all releases on BME Records and Tapes (TORA ORPHAN, FAR EAST), so prepare for a long, long search. It's one of these 7"s that are worth every penny. Brilliant release.
