Metal star
Wild in the streets
Quite an impressing 7" released the californian band The Heritage in the mid 90's. I always thought oldstyle Metal was dead back then, but this band prooves the contrary. "Metal star" is a typical US Power/Speed Metal ripper with extremely powerful production where the female vocals do not affect the pleasure of listening at any moment. They strangely somehow built in a few hardrockin' breaks as well as the B side sounds a bit weaker, more lead by these hardrockin' influences, but still it's classic Heavy Metal that sounds like to be recorded in the mid 80's (especially "Metal star"). Their female voalist can be considered somewhere between Debbie Gunn and Nicole Lee easily.
The reason for the Hard Rock influences surely reveals the fact that both the guitarist and bassist were playing in a band called Electric Eels that released a nice pre-Metal LP in 1981. You shouldn't miss this EP at all.
