This band is from Cincinatti (Ohio) and happens to be the first band of David T. Chastain. The band was formed in 1973(!!) and they only released one 7" single ("Leah/Turn me on to love" 1981) and this LP that contains amazing hard rocking US metal. You will listen some classic songs like
"Leah" and "What kind of woman" that you can't easily find in many bands. After splitting up, most members formed the well known CJSS. According to some sources Spike reformed in 1998 for some gigs that were recorded for a live album that was never released. In 2001, Leviathan Records put out a CD with live studio recordings of Spike from the early 80s. Copies of the LP
rarely turn up and it's quite expensive.
