The guys of SLAMM from Vancouver do look pretty young indeed, like teenagers, so it's even more surprising they deliver such a powerful sounding early Metal/Hard Rock mix mainly rooted in the Hard Rock genre but to say they are typical 70's Hard Rock would be totally wrong. I'd count them to the early canadian Metal pioneers of the new age (80's), though they are definitely Hard Rock with a good rockin' vibe, but like already mentioned the sound on the power numbers "Compo Blues", "Goin' out the back door" and "Suck city" appears fuckin' heavy and fresh. For those who like the very early rocking MANOWAR stuff (first album) it's surely a nice purchase, even though the record isn't that rare, it's price is quite surprisingly high! Sometimes you'll find a copy for 20 $ and well, it's worth that for sure. Don't pay those 50 $ or even more! Just be patient! Friends Records from Vancouver as well was known for their Punk releases and the record sleeve looks private. All early Metal fans should definitely check 'em out!
