A: Time for you
B: Battle (Narrative)
This 7" single must be the second and last release of the mysterious band called The Scrubs. On side A, features "Time for you", an enjoyable hard-rockin' NWOBHM song with an AC/DC touch on guitars and an overall dirty feeling that reminds me of a bit of Motorhead. B side includes the narrative version of "Battle", which initially appeared on their first,
same titled single. The song is divided into two parts. The first part is atmospheric with just keyboards and narration. The second part enters with
a great lead guitar in the vein of Thin Lizzy/Brocas Helm and the song becomes an epic metal anthem with pompous choruses. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a cut version of the original song, since more than 1 minute of the heavy part is missing. So, for that reason, I guess that fans of epic metal should primary look for the "Battle" single. As for the
rest, especially for friends of NWOBHM, this release is nice to have.
