JA, SATANS HOST gehören in JEDE halbwegs anständige Sammlung.
Satans Horst, dich braucht keine Sau.

Most of you may know the band because of Harry The Tyrant of JAG PANZER, TITAN FORCE who was the vocalist of SATAN'S HOST. The album is rare as hell (he he) on vinyl but is more than worth searching for it, if needed all of your life! The LP has a fantastic cover, an innersleeve with lyrics and very atmospheric black/white drawings and is available in red (Limited edition 500 copies, bootlegged but also very rare, Matrix of Original is WEB001), black (original only) and clear (bootleg only) vinyl!! Now to the most important about "Metal from Hell": The music!
It is great evil dark Power Metal, better than ANY of your US favorites! The lyrics are real satanic evil, not just little stories as many Black Metal bands use it today, this record is breeding true evil and you can feel the dark passion during the whole album! The compositions are far above 99,99 % of the rest, just listen to the epic >Hell FireKing of Terror< that playes football with your brain or the unsurpassable Power Metal Anthem >Black Stele< ("...bang your head - for Lucifer, bang your head - against the stage...") with the following anthemic >Into the Veil< that reminds on >Shadow Thief< from "Ample Destruction" or on the TITAN FORCE records, and with even more passion, believe it or not!!! There never has been and never will be a BETTER Metal record than this. "Metal from Hell" is sitting right on top of the Metal-Olymp, probably even an inch above "Crystal Logic", "Hammerheart" or "Kings of Metal".
By the way: There also exists a second album called "Midnight Winds" which sadly was never released officially. Only chance to get it was by tapetrading or now on a bootleg CD together with "Metal From Hell". Production is even poorer but >The wicked shall return< >Midnight Wind< or some others are immortal classics anyway!!
After SATANS HOST Satan Patrick Evil (The brain & soul behind S.H.) was playing metal in a band called NIGHTSIDE OF EDEN. I have not heard 'em sadly, if anyone can help: GET IN TOUCH!!!!
Some time in 2003 SATANS HOST was reawakend from the dead! With new singer and new style. They sadly changed their unique Power Metal to usual Black Metal sound...
