Being one of the many bands named SABRE, these three guys here chose to play decent melodic hard rock without being too mellow or cheesy. Although this is not a boring album at all, some songs like "If it feels good" could have be avoided. Steve Fife's voice is excellent- melodic but without lacking of power. He could easily be the frontman of a heavy metal band too. "Cruisin'" , "Somethin'(under my bed)", "Bring on the night" or "Feel it risin'" are perfect examples of well played melodic hard rock/metal, I wish that the whole album sounded this way. Fans of heavier, rawer hearings may pass it by. The others must give "On the prowl" a chance. The fantastic front drawing of the saber-toothed tiger will surely lead to temptation many collectors no matter the price .
