Seit 1995 sind LEYENDA aktiv und haben uns in dieser Zeit bereits 3 Alben beschert von denen eines besser ist als das andere. Nun ist es so, daß aus Spanien neben großer Qualität auch viel Durchschnitt, tralala und Unsinn exportiert wird (oder gleich nur im Land verbleibt), so daß es nicht einfach ist, den Überblick zu behalten. LEYENDA haben das Glück, daß sie einen der besten Sänger Spaniens in ihren Reihen haben, der auf einer Reihe mit den Gesangsgöttern Vicente von ZARPA, Angel von TIERRA SANTA und Lufti Salah Al-Kharbutli von PIEL DE SERPIENTE zu nennen ist. Das alles würde natürlich noch nichts helfen, wenn nicht auch die Songs stimmen würden. War schon "Quintaesencia" in songschreibererischer Hinsicht eines der besten Debutalben, welches jemals in Spanien erschienen ist und "Medianoche" ein würdiger Nachfolger, so kann "Horizontes" noch einmal einen draufsetzen. Melodische Metal-Songs der Spitzenklasse wie "Mr. Oscuro", "Horizontes" oder "Espiritu del Rock and Roll", um jetzt nur ein paar zu nennen sind die Spitze dessen, was der internationale Heavy Metal im Jahre 2009 hergibt. Wer hier nicht zugreift, mag entweder keinen melodischen Heavy Metal oder hat vergessen die Play-Taste am CD-Spieler zu drücken.

Since 1995 LEYENDA are active and in this time they made three albums reminding us on great 80s times when ANGELES DEL INFIERNO or BARON ROJO ruled the scene. To talk about such big names always causes expectations which need to be fullfilled. So as we all know spanish music scene produces a lot, some quality-stuff, but especially in the last time also many average and lower average products, we are happy that LEYENDA is one of the big exceptions from the rule. LEYENDAs albums are still not available everywhere but more and more exported because distributors and fans explore this high quality stuff. European melodic Metal-scene showed us a few bands at the peak of quality in 2009. LEYENDA is one of them and "Horizontes" for sure one of the best 10 albums released in that year. This is not only because of the fantastic vocalist Antonio Montemayor who can be named in one breath with the best spanish singers like Vicente from ZARPA, Angel from TIERRA SANTA or Lufti Salah Al-Kharbutli from PIEL DE SERPIENTE just to compare him with some of the really best. No its also because of the great songwriting which shows us melodic Metal on the top level produced with a very dynamic sound. "Quintaesencia" was a great Debut, maybe one of the best ever released in Spain since the 80s. "Medianoche" brought the band even one step further to fame and "Horizontes" for sure is a masterpiece. Melodic premier league Metal-Songs like "Mr. Oscuro", "Horizontes" or "Espiritu del Rock and Roll", only to pick out some great ones inbetween other great others, will bring you to Metal heaven and the inevitable order not to loose any more time: Check out for this album (even better for all three the band made until yet) and you will not regret!
