Acracia: La otra Sevilla

The name of the band and the cover already make it seem very collectible. But like so often: Does the cat hide in the sack with this rare record? No: genius. Anyway, how do you describe a record which sounds like every comparison is out of place? The songs reveal an unlimited authenticity. Vocal lines, which more more probably could be catagorized under Hard-Rock or Punk? No. "La otra Sevilla" is a progressive Metal-record like they were meant to be. Only the vocals ("Tres Almas") sometimes walk into for metal unusual melodies, very interesting. Personally, I like the progressive guitar sound with many excellent solos and killer riffs ("Inspiracion"}which remind me of ...mmhh.... Unfortunately there's no lyric sheet and the song titles reveal political and social contents, an uncommon thing in Spanish. No, no Punk and no Hardcore! Intenser study of the backcover reveals a big surprise. Once again family handwork, but only two members of this one unleash the fireworks. Further information about the band history and the origin of this vinyl I could not discover. Only that the record is a huge rarity, like some collectors and a Metalhead from Sevilla told me. Please when to found, be sure to add it to your collection, musically a very special and a once a lifetime experience. But: give it a test listening first!

Der Bandname und das Cover muten schon äußerst sammelwürdig an. Doch wie so oft: Versteckt sich die Katze bei dieser raren Scheibe im Sack? Nein: genial. Allerdings wie beschreibt man eine Platte, die so klingt, dass alle Vergleiche hinken? Die Songs offenbaren eine uneingeschränkte Authentizität. Gesangslinien, die eher dem Hard-Rock oder Punk zugeordnet werden könnten? Nein. La otra Sevilla ist eine progressive Metalscheibe aus dem Lehrbuch. Alleine der Gesang (Tres Almas) wandelt manchmal in metaluntypischen Melodien, reizvoll. Mir persönlich gefällt der progressive Gitarrensound mit vielen exzellenten Soli und Killerriffs (Inspiracion), die mich an...mmhh...erinnern. Leider liegt kein Textblatt bei und die Songtitel offenbaren politische und soziale Inhalte, auf spanisch eine ungewöhnliche Sache, nein kein Punk und kein Harcore! Bei genauerem Lesen des Backcovers kommt die grosse Überraschung. Wieder mal Familienhandwerk, allerdings lassen nur zwei Mitglieder dieser das Feuerwerk los. Weitere Infos zur Bandgeschichte und Entstehung dieses Vinyls habe ich nicht ausfindig machen können. Nur, dass die Scheibe superrar ist, wie mir ein paar Sammler und ein Metalhead aus Sevilla mitgeteilt haben. Bitte bei Auffinden unbedingt in die Sammlung importieren, musikalisch eine außergewöhnliche und einmalige Angelegenheit; trotzdem: vorher reinhören!
