Axton: Bad Desire

Review

In den 80ern sind AXTON völlig an mir vorbeigelaufen, was eigentlich recht ungewöhnlich ist, da mir der melodische Metal der Band sehr gut gefällt.

Der rauhe Sänger passt hervorragend zu den Kompositionen, die mich sowohl etwas an HALLOWED (natürlich die Italiener) als auch an VANADIUM zu "Seventh heaven"-Zeiten (ein absoluter Melodic Metal-Klassiker übrigens) erinnern.

Die LP-Variante findet sich heute nicht mehr so leicht, weshalb die CD-Neuauflage eine sehr schöne Sache ist. Mit 7 Bonustracks und einem ausführlichen Booklet wurde die CD auch wirklich ausreichend veredelt.

AXTON will convince with their album "Bad desire" for sure every lover of 80s melodic Metal. A fine vocalist, good hooks and the typical 80s feel. Sometimes reminding on the other italian high class bands HALLOWED and VANADIUM (at glorious "Seventh heaven"-times) this is probably enough told to make you greedy on this album. Even more as there are included 7 Bonustracks and a fine booklet with a lot of information.
