Athlos: Hellenic myths of gods and heroes

Als Mischung aus Epic und Folk Metal müßte man ATHLOS beschreiben, aber die Band tobt sich auf dem weiten Feld der harten Musik gehörig aus.

Wenn man vom hörbaren und vielleicht manchen störenden griechischen Akzent Polydeykis absieht, ist man mit dem Album auf einer spannenden musikalischen Reise durch das antike -metallische- Griechenland.

Wahrscheinlich hätten die alten Hellenen vor einer Schlacht oder den antiken olympischen Spielen solche Musik gespielt, hätten sie allerdings auch damals schon die Intrumente gehabt.

Interessant für alle, die was neues ausprobieren möchten. Vergleichbare Bands? Eigentlich nichts, aber ein ähnliches Konzept verfolgen z.B. auch ARMAGEDDON (Serbien),

If you don't mind the greek pronounciation of Polydekis you will go on an exciting journey through the old hellenic "heavy metallic" Greece.

Probably the old greek warriors would have played this kind of music if they had the instruments. This albums is interesting for all of you who like to try something different. Comparable bands? Maybe the serbian ARMAGEDDON, but only according to the concept. The music of both is too different to be compared.
